Tridentis AMV is proud to announce the award of our Phase II SBIR grant from NOAA. We will complete detail design and build our second autonomous vehicle prototype. The Bottom Feeder is a unique AUV combining the best attributes of high efficiency with high maneuverability in a modular package. The AUV will be designed to efficiently map and assess the health of coral reefs down to depths of 150m while also providing ocean color data for space asset calibration. It has the ability to be optionally tethered for high bandwidth communications and real-time control.
Phase II will encompass developing the detail design, building the prototype, and performing operational sensor testing demonstrating the capabilities of Bottom Feeder. Bottom Feeder will complement our existing autonomous surface vessel and expand our autonomous vehicle design space.
