AMV has been awarded a Phase III SBIR by NOAA for the Advanced Coastal Monitor (ACM) to conduct continuous marine surveys using a variety of sensors.  NOAA has selected our surface vehicle to capture marine and environmental data in the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries. The ACM will operate autonomously employing a variable sensor package to collect water quality, optical, meteorological, and sonar data. While conducting these complex operations for NOAA, the ACM will maintain collision avoidance and compliance navigation rules of the road. This is a major step in the evolution of ACM’s capabilities and an important step towards full commercialization of our products and services!
